GOD's Guidance

I don't know what God has for me..
I don't know what going to be happened in Singapore..
I don't know what I should do in these 6 months..

I am excited yet scared..
I am confident that I am going to be alright yet confused and sad to leave my family again..

I don't know....

One thing that I know that I have You..
Please guide me.. Please hold my hands and walk besides me..
For I know that Your Guidance is enough for me...

Please pray for me..

Power, Not Fear

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."
(2 Timothy 1:7)

The only fear that God encourages in a Christian’s life is the fear of God (2 Cor. 5:10–11;_Heb. 10:31). Fear of people does not come from God. The problem is that many Christians fear people more than they fear God. Their fear hinders them from pleasing God because they waste their efforts appeasing other people. Timothy was a young man, timid by nature, and_probably not strong physically (1 Tim. 5:23). He knew of Paul’s frequent trials and persecutions. He knew that he, too, might suffer those same persecutions. Paul reminded his young colleague that fear of others does not come_from God.

Fear causes us to stop and question what God has clearly told us to do. Perhaps we were confident in our obedience until persecution came; now we doubt whether we heard God correctly. Most fear is fear of the unknown. We do not know what lies ahead of us, so we become apprehensive. Our imaginations can magnify problems until they seem insurmountable. We need a sound mind to see things in proper perspective. That is why God gave us His Holy Spirit, to enable us to see things as God sees them.

Fear is no excuse to disobey God. There is no reason to live in fear when you have the mighty presence of the Holy Spirit within you. Fear will enslave you, but Christ has come to set you free. Ask God to free you from any fear you are experiencing and to open your eyes. As He reveals the reality of your situation, He will enable you to continue in obedience.

Be Faithful in Prayer

Last Sunday, I was reminded by God to be faithful in prayer...
In the last day of January 2010, God reminded me how prayer is really important in my Christian's life.. Pastor Tjong Wun Jen described 3 reasons why we have to be faithful in prayer

1. Jesus Loves to Hear our Prayers
Just as father loves to hear his children, Our Father also loves to hear our stories, our burden, our cries, our hopes, our wishes, and even our problems.. He is God and He has no limit. We could speak to Him anytime, anywhere, and anyhow we want.. We don't have to make appointment with Him because He will always be there for us. We also do not need to worry because our prayers are save with God. So, why are we still hesitate to pray??

2. Jesus Knows Our Hearts
Nobody knows us well enough besides Jesus. He knows our laughs, our tears, our problems, our needs.. He knows everything about us.. He knows that we need Him more than everything. We are blessed enough that we can communicate with Him even though He is already knew our need. He never refuses to hear our complains or our needs. So.. How awesome is Our God??

3. Prayer can change people's life
Through prayer we build our personal relationship with God. When we pray, God is working in our lives. In prayer, we are not only talking to God but we also listen to His Words. Through prayers, our Christians lives are renewed every single day. We are molded into His ways and our priority are changed.

I knew all of those but I still not put prayer as my priority. That is why I could not hear God's voice or not sensitive enough to sense His presence. Thanks God for He is good all the time. He reminded me to be a prayer doing and I promised myself to be faithful in prayer.

One of my new resolution, the most important one, is I want to experience God more this year. And God show me His guide day by day. One point He showed me is to be faithful in prayer..

So, let's pray together for it is our life breath...

"Pray without ceasing"
